John “Jack” Ablon

Trustee

Jack was bitten by the aviation bug at age 4, when he took his first general aviation flight in one of the airfield’s Waco biplanes with Mike Creato. Years later he would fly solo on his 16th birthday and subsequently take his first solo “cross country” flight from Hanscom down to Katama where it all started. He’s now a Certified Flight Instructor and Commercial Pilot with more takeoffs and landings at Katama in his logbook than just about anywhere else.

Jack currently lives in Manhattan, runs product management at an early-stage financial technology firm that specializes in wealth management, and flight instructs on nights and weekends. He graduated from Colgate University in 2021 where he captained the Division I tennis team, and is also on the Emerging Leaders Council of Boston-based youth development organization Tenacity.
